We posted this one on our Instagram earlier this week, but it’s simply too good not to share as a blog. Do you know what an SP1 is? If you’re not involved at all with the Super/Hypercar industry, you might not, and that’s not surprising. Ferrari’s Monza models are inspired by classic Ferraris and are highly limited and very exclusive models. The first in a new line from Ferrari that they are calling the “Icona” series. The SP1 and SP2 are both mixes of the classic 750 Monza, 250 Testa Rossa, and of course the 166 Mille Miglia. What are the differences between SP1 and SP2? The answer is very simple. The number of seats. The SP1 features only a one-seat design positioned on one side of the vehicle. The SP2 features 2 seats separated by a center section. Both share the same low-slung, speedster styling inspired by the classic Ferraris mentioned above. Let’s talk about production numbers. Only 499 were produced in the entire world making it an instant classic. How about a little context? These cars came out in 2018 for the 2019 model year. Only 499 made, at $1.75 million from Ferrari. We looked one up for this article and the only one we were able to find was an SP2 for sale at $3.2 million. Long story short, these are very exclusive cars. So exclusive in fact, no one would ever think about modifying these right? Wrong! We’re not a news outlet, we’re an aftermarket retailer, and part of our job is to showcase the modified. Like this SP1.
Vossen and Novitec have been working together to bring wheels and widebody kits to the top of the high-end. Like their widebody kit and wheel lines for Rolls Royce, and Bentleys. Of course, it is no surprise that they’d figure out a way to get their hands dirty on a Ferrari SP1. And the results are below:
