The double-staggered setup. A set up usually reserved for muscle cars and dragsters alike gets pushed here with this one. We recently had the opportunity to do a unique double staggered set up on this 2006 Lexus IS350 with a set of Vossen CVTs. We recently did another set up on a set of CVTs on a gorgeous red Lexus you can take a look at that one here. But what makes this one unique is that it has a smaller wheel in the front both in width and diameter compared to the rear. Full specs will be available below.
Our customer had done the math beforehand by comparing his OEM sizes, fitment, and rolling diameter. He knew the look that he wanted and he knew what needed to be done to achieve it. Simply put, once he figured out his overall rolling diameter (which is just the diameter of the entire set up including the tire) he knew that he could run a bigger wheel in the back and keep the same OEM rolling diameter specs that came with his Lexus. Which was also his goal. And this was just step 1. He’s going to do a lot to this car including getting a whole new paint job and suspension set up.
