We get it, wheels and tires are about 99% of what we show here across our blogs. Today we bring to you something completely different. How about a big power-adding modification? That’s right, we are very proud to announce that Whipple Superchargers are now available here at Need 4 Speed Motorsports! To help bring this to light, we’ve got here a beautiful brand new Stage 1 Gen 5 Whipple Supercharger for one very lucky Shelby GT350R. Let the numbers do the talking – our friends over at Motortrend put a GT350R on a dyno and found that bone stock, these cars make an average of around 494hp to the wheels. Many performance shops and tuners around the country are finding some significant gains after installing a Whipple. Paramount Speed for example notes gains of 338 wheel horsepower on 10.5 psi which puts their test GT350 upwards of 800 horsepower while keeping the 91 minimum octane fuel requirement. This is already significantly more than the GT500’s dyno’d 708 wheel horsepower. Of course, different shops do things differently, and even different dynos can yield different results as well so it’s important to keep in mind that results will always vary. One thing that is for sure is that there are some major gains by adding a Whipple Supercharger and you can get yours here at Need 4 Speed Motorsports.
